About this cafe

The Finca El Plan farm is located near the town of Arboleda, in one of the most dangerous parts of Nariño. Illicit crops like coca are common. Added to this is violence, corruption and intimidation, a sad reality in the region.

A courageous group of farmers like Carmen Moncayo continues to grow coffee despite these difficult circumstances. This is the third year that Carmen’s coffee has been separated into micro-lots. With further improvements in agricultural practices and processing techniques, its coffee continues to be a great example of single origin coffee.

It is for all these reasons and the courage of Carmen, this warrior, that we chose this coffee. Good tasting!
